I don't think it matters what order you upload your photos. I've always had to label my photos with the page number once they've been uploaded. Same with some of the other book sites I've experimented with (but always come back here to order the important books).
For general instructions on the PrestoPhoto Bookmaker go to:

You can then go to "Detailed Photo Book Instructions"
Once there, it talks about paging:

Again, begin on your gallery page and select the Image Order icon (as described above). Once on the Image Order page under the Miscellaneous column there is a position box where you may type a number. Simply enter the numbers according to the order you would like your images to appear in your photo book. Then scroll to the bottom and select Save Changes.
A more detailed explanation:
Layout: Several options are available with the layout.
Image Per Page option: you set the number of images that display on each page. The most exciting option here is the “Gallery Image Order” option. This feature allows each page to have an independent number of images. For example if you want to layout one image on page 1, 5 images on page 2, and 2 images on page 3. would simply number your images in your gallery as 1.1, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 3.1, 3.2, etc. Try it, this one is a winner!

The book starts on the RIGHT HAND SIDE page. If you email support they should be able to look at your gallery and tell you what's up with the white on the left and right sides. I've had them go into my galleries several times when I had a question or problem and they figured out what was wrong each time.

pages in wrong order
Posted:24 Sep 2008 (03:51 UTC)Help!! my pages I uploaded in the order that i want them in and not they are in a random order. How do I put them back in the right order. Also the preview of my book has white on the left and right sides. I am trying to make a 12x12 book so that is the size I made my pages. some one please help me
