I created and ordered One Calendar to check your quality of print. Now I am very disappointed and upset because I planned to order many Calendars as a gifts to my relatives and friends.
Very dark and the colors too much desaturated in every picture. It's definitely a very bad printing job. I printed this (the same) Calendar many times on Costco when they still had PhotoDepartment and their quality was great!
Also in addition, real calendar parts (months and numbers) printed are too light, and it is very difficult to recognize what day it is. Really very disappointing experience..

Expensive, unfortunate experience

At nearly $60 a book and after hours and hours of trying to get the file uploaded, the result is so not good. Dark images, slightly blurry. Simply a very bad print job that was too expensive for this result.

Great Results with 8 Photo Books and Holiday Cards

by Pamela McCarthy, 14 Jun 2023 (02:17 UTC)
I have made eight photo albums with PrestoPhoto using the Apple interface and have hade great results. Five were hardcover and ranged from 40 to 70 pages; three were softcover and in the vicinity of 20 pages. The books are sturdy, with secure bindings, even trim, and consistent printing. Generally the photos print a bit darker than they appear on my screen, so I'd recommend lightening up any images you have that are dark to begin with. Customer service is superb, always going the extra mile (e.g., catching a project before it goes into production to correct a mistake I've made and noticed after pressing "BUY."). We've also had good results with holiday cards, though with the same caveat about lightening anything that is tending toward dark.

Disappointed with how the book was put together

by Mary Lou, 01 Dec 2021 (22:39 UTC)
I received my 5”x5” lay flat book and have concerns with how it was put together. The pages that adhere to the front and back covers were not centre at all. As well when you check the spine the book interior is coming away from the cover, which concerns me as I don’t think this book is going to last long. It doesn’t lay flat without assistance.
I will commend the turn around time - which is a comfort during the busy Christmas buying season

Hi there Mary Lou,

Thanks for reaching out!

I know that we resolved this issue for you via email but I wanted to reply here as well.
Per our conversation, the issues that you saw were production errors that slipped through the QA checks due to the increased holiday volume we receive. A resolution was provided to you, which you seem to be happy with (:

If you have any questions or need any additional assistance, please let us know.

Very happy with results

by Jan Rotunno, 08 Jul 2021 (04:04 UTC)
This was my first photo book, so I needed some help. I called the number and got a recording that they prefer live chat. So I used the live chat and the rep was very helpful and patient with all my questions. Once I understood, the website was very easy to use. I put all my photos and captions into a Word document, all arranged exactly as I wanted it to appear in the book. Then I put it into PDF to upload to prestophoto.com. I put in the order on 6/25, and requested the SuperSaver shipping. It shipped on 7/2 and arrived across the country on 7/7, a total of 12 days. Everything went as the website described, and the book turned out really nice, actually better than I expected. It’s a shiny hardcover with 150 premium paper. I would give it 5 stars, but a friend told me about a site that would have cost me 1/3 what I paid. I went to that site and checked the price and she was correct. BUT that site did not offer the 150 paper–the highest was 80. Maybe the 80 would have let the photos show through, I don’t know. But I’m very happy with what I got.

Poor product

by Black Chris, 02 Mar 2020 (00:07 UTC)
Created a calendar and was very disappointed with the product. All the photos were very under exposed (dark) despite how they appeared in the preview. After informing Presto customer service I was told my computer screen and the actual picture quality caused the under exposure. I have used the same camera, lens and computer for the last 5 years with no problems printing until now. Very disappointed that ALL the blame was on me. I will not use Presto again.

Greetings from PrestoPhoto!

As we discussed in our email conversations, the reason some images printed darker than expected is that several images were under exposed and had faces in shadows. On the same page as the shadowed images, you had naturally lit images which printed beautifully. This is one of the most common concerns customers have. Our brains react positively to faces in sunshine, however when they are shadowed we view them much more critically. We go over these topics in more detail here: https://www.prestophoto.com/help/Make+Your+Photos+Presto-Ready

When printing your project, each page is rastered (or flattened) into a single image. Because of this, we do not have a way to individually adjust images. Adjusting brightness for under exposed images, would have the negative effect of over exposing properly lit images.

We of course want to work with you, however if you want your images to print brighter, you would need to make adjustments to the original source images that you are unhappy with. If you make those changes and reply to the original emails we've sent you, we can certainly work something out so that you're happier with the output of that calendar (:

Warm Regards,
MJ
