Spotted Snow Dog
Marshall brings a great deal of energy to the household. He lived with a lady, his original owner for seven years before she passed away. Her family then took Marshall and kept him for an additional year. They found that they did not have enough time for him as he demands a lot of personal attention. The daughter had a family, horses, cats and other dogs. Too much competition for Marshall.
Getting out of The Humane Society was like getting out of jail for him, even though he only spent a couple of nights there. In our get acquainted visit, he would just race around the fenced in area barking, as if to say, "Get me our of here!" That is exactly what I did.
At his new home, every chance he would get, he would jet out and run wild through the neighborhood, not responding to any verbal sounds whatsoever. He always seems so pleased with himself after he returns from such an adventure. He even managed to get lost at the off leash dog park. Well... He went a bit beyond the parameters of the park. I searched til dark, but could not find him. After I got home, the humane society called me to let me know he had hooked up with a family having a picnic down by the lake. They were kind enough to deliver him to my door.
The Winter brought us a nice dose of snow and we closed the clinic and I spent a day with the boys in the white winterland. Marshall acted like it was frosting on a cake. He ripped up and down the street, in and out of everyones yard and looked like he was just plain ol' going buzzirk!
