I'm A Bird Dog Too

Awe Ben! What a little angel. I was surfing the net one day looking at pictures of dogs in Petfinder.com. There was a picture of two blue eyed, completely deaf Dalmatians and a story that followed. They were brothers who had been rescued from a high kill shelter in California. Spots Of Seattle flew them up and a foster mom took them both into care. A film company in Canada caught sight of them and instantly contacted SOS and invited them up for a photo shoot. They made some good money even before they were six months old.

Their story broke my heart and I arranged for a visit. First at the park, then a home visit to see how they interacted with my current family of two. They were both adorable, but I chose Ben. He seemed to be a real sweetheart. He is fearless, and certainly does not let his hearing impairment hinder his enjoyment of life. He plays with any dog that shows the least amount of interest and instantly backs off any who do not.

He responds to sign language extremely well and is always checking in for orders.
