The Heroes Diaries

From the very first entry I read in Chris’s journal, honoring one of the incredible frontline heroes she’d worked, with I knew this “project” was something very special. I spoke with our dear friend, Valarie Conklin, and we agreed that it needed to be seen by more than just Chris’s friends and family.
In such stressful, confusing, and challenging times, it was wonderfully uplifting to be reminded of the many brave and dedicated people, willing to sacrifice their lives, to save the rest of us. People who work every day to make our days and our health better.
Even though Chris writes about painful and intense experiences of loss, fear and death - she manages to do it in a way that is both comforting and inspiring. She takes us inside the world of the brave men and women on the front lines, and gives a human face to these masked heroes. We felt compelled to help her share these stories with as many people as possible.
Chris herself, is one of those astonishing people who sacrifice and take risks so that others can survive. She makes a difference in the world in so many beautiful ways - as a nurse, as a mother, as a human being, as a friend, and as a documentarian. I am grateful to be a small part of this work - and to be able to honor her, and her cohorts.
