Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam Resplendent 8.5x11 1pp
The ‘Great Omar’ jewel encrusted edition is still down on the Titanic, but herein we have a sumptuous, adorned, flourished, emblazoned, embellished, beautified, and wholly resplendent rendering.
This is my second illustrated rendition of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, as transmogrified by Edward FitzGerald, and is a separate book from my first one, not an update. An artistic muse sent me into the zone—everything lined up, and I used all that I had, could have, or bought.
All 114 quatrain themes are presented from Edward FitzGerald’s editions and his notes (three). The quatrain numbering order is mostly that of the second edition.
Following the quatrain number is the edition the quatrain was taken from (in parentheses). If in blue, then the quatrain appeared only in that edition; if in red, the quatrain’s wordage is exactly the same in all the editions in which it appears.
